When Yami Marik could no longer be contained/restrained by Odion in the ending of the episodes surrounding Odion and Joey's duel and he was released, his voice was still similar to that of the regular Marik except more sinister with whatever other demonic voice mixed into it, but when we see him again in the series of episodes \"Mind Game: Mai vs. Marik\", it's almost like it's completely changed and they use that voice for the remainder of Yami Marik's appearances in the anime.
