The Rondo Days Festival is an annual celebration of the Rondo neighborhood in St. Paul, Minnesota, that began in 1983. The festival is held on the third Saturday in July and honors the history and legacy of the African-American community. The festival also mourns the destruction of the neighborhood when Interstate 94 was built in the mid-1960s, splitting the community in two and displacing hundreds of families. The festival is a way for the Black community to reconnect and remember the contributions and struggles of their people.
After 4 years of being displaced from the community that adopted the festival as a part of the communities family. It has now made it's return home like the return of the "Prodigal Son". With a new committee of Loyal Leaders & Volunteers. The return of "Rondo Day's" 2024. Is set to be a "Legendary Event". As we have Two Legendary Artist of the Hip Hop Culture coming to grace the city of Saint Paul, Mn. with their presence and talents.
